Sound the Bell
Dave Day
High energy, guitar driven blues and rock.
I came to the blues from rock in the early nineties. My first influences in this genre were Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Johnny Winter and from there I branched out into others such as Jimi Hendrix, Robert Cray, BB King, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, The Allman Brothers and the list goes on (and is still growing)! I still love playing rock, but blues is what I always default or reset to. This is a collection of songs that I've been drawn to and wanted to record for a long time. A couple of the originals, Lay It Down and Shelter In The Storm I recorded back in the nineties on my release "Blues Is My Favorite Color" and wanted to update them for this release. I love and listen to many musical styles, but it seems like I'm always drawn back to the blues...I can feel it better than other genres. I like to feel music and I hope that you the listener will feel mine. Thank you for checking out Sound The Bell.
